Breanna and Andrew Chachoute
Two PPACS Students Win A National Poetry Contest
Posted January 25, 2008
Two young poets from our school wrote poems that were chosen to be published.
Second grader, Breanna Chachoute, wrote a poem titled "I Like Summer". Her brother, Andrew Chachoute, from the fifth grade wrote "Christmas". Both works will be featured in "A Celebration of Young Poets".
We are very proud of both students and looks forward to seeing their work in the published anthology.

I Like Summer
I like summer.
Do you know why?
You get to have ice cream.
Don't be shy.
Do you know when summer starts?
I just like summer when it starts.
So shed your sweaters
And put some short sleeves and shorts on
Before you get out of your house.

Christmas
Christmas is fun,
And spiritual too,
Every year it's done,
For me and you.
I sat around the tree,
And opened all my presents,
HOORRAAYY!! It's a Wii,
I shouted to my presents.
Now you would know, the joy of Christmas day,
You know it will show,
That's what I would say.
