Pernell Francis started the "Big Brother" program when he was only 8 years old. Perry's mother originally signed him up for the program because his cousin, whom he was close to, moved away. Plus, his mom wanted him to hang out with a good role model. Perry met his big brother, Craig Lovett, shortly after and was present when remarkable man accepted his award for "Big Brother of the Year."

Perry really enjoys spending time with Craig. In fact, they hang out every weekend. The two especially enjoy going deep sea fishing down Wildwood, going to Dave & Busters and eating at Tony Luke's. The two are quite close to one another now. In fact, their families intermingle regularly.

Craig has been a "Big Brother" for 32 years! He now has 4 little brothers including Perry. The other three "little" brothers are now grown, but are still very much involved with Mr. Lovett. As an added bonus, Craig gathers his "little brothers", their families and his own family together during Christmas time.

The "big Brother of the Year" award is an outstanding honor that this man has truly earned. His dedication to these young men is an inspiration to us all!
