Creative Writing
Students finished working on the completion of the eighth grade portfolios. The students came every Tuesday and had been organizing all of their work and information into a final showcase of their achievements. They have split their portfolios into several categories, including: Letters of Recommendation, Awards, Writing Samples, Projects, Performances, and Extra-curricular Activities. The first page of each students portfolio will be a bio-poem or formal biography, depending on the student's preference. Like the students themselves, each portfolio is truly unique.
Now that the 8th graders have finished their portfolios, the class wil be opened for 7th grade students. The class will start in the first week of February. The students will begin by assembling the shell of their portfolio. As the weeks progress, they will do a variety of creative writing activities and other assignments that can be used in the portfolio.
